So much have happened this past year. For one thing, I haven't updated my blog since I graduated from bachelor degree last year. Sorry, I am just too lazy to update this blog.

I decided to undergo LASIK at JEC Menteng on the holiday season. Yes, I am still unemployed, unlike most of my friends who have real jobs. I spent this past year attending classes (again), because I am a student at MAKSI FEUI Salemba (read: postgraduate / S2). More about that later, because this post will focus more on my LASIK experience.

Before you read my post, or if you need to know more about LASIK, please read this webpage first:
LASIK? We Have All! by JEC

This is my LASIK experience in chronological order:

I look like a minionCollapse )

To sum up, that is my LASIK experience. If you have any questions or anything, feel free to drop a comment below, and I'll get back to you ASAP. Thanks for reading, and I hope this post is useful for everyone who are considering to undergo LASIK. :)

Scarlett Johansson is not my fav actress, and yet I am so thrilled to watch this movie. The trailer has been on the run for around 2-3 months in Indonesian cinemas and I have been expecting this to release sooner. Dunno why it takes a month to get here. I thought this is gonna be a jam-packed sci-fi action movie. Am I right? Well, partially.

Who do you think can be the next Hyori?

Personally I think no one could replace Lee Hyori, and I am afraid this is also the case for Namie Amuro. True, it is possible to observe the "diva" traits which are hidden in the new reign of female singers, but it is impossible to say that there is someone who could be her ultimate "successor" to the throne. She is the queen, and the next queen, be it CL, Ga In, Hyosung, Jiyeon, or whoever else she might be, cannot inherit the same diva traits like Lee Hyori. The next queen will develop her own standards, not adopting Hyori's standards. Take CL for example. She has her own unique individual talent that does not scream Hyori's aura to me. I saw their duet performance and no one overshadowed each other because each of them has their own charisma on the stage. Hyori is sexy, CL is bold. They are different. You can't expect CL to sing Hyori's hit singles like "Hey Mr. Big" or "U-Go-Girl". Only Hyori could pull them off.

It is also must be noted that female singers who initially debuted as a group and not as a solo, will need to struggle harder because solo singers need to "shine more". At first I saw that Park Kahi (ex After School) has enough diva traits, but then after she left her group, her solo career went straight to flop. Hyori might be an exception because she can be better off after going solo. Just like Namie Amuro.

Next, do we see any nominated original solo singers here, such as BoA, G.NA, NS Yoon-G, Sori, Son Dam Bi? No. This is the problem. Even the solo singers are not recognized that much. Going solo is not easy, especially in modern Kpop where currently groups are dominating almost 80% of the scene. Why? Because going in group is much safer than going solo. If the next group-turning-solo queen is respectable enough, she will leave her group for good and doing solo permanently for the rest of her career. She will have her ups and downs, she might not have a long-lasting success throughout her career, as Hyori also experienced major plagiarism problem, but she will stand as a queen until it is time for her "successor" to emerge.

Hi guys. I wanna be a productive blogger, so I am writing a review again. If you are a true Indonesian movie buff, you would likely be more familiar with this movie.

I did not write a review for the first movie, and I am not gonna write it now either because I have forgotten about 50% of the movie... Oh wait, come to think of it, there is nothing that I have to remember. The plot is way too basic. If you have watched Dredd, I think it is similar (I didn't watch the movie though; that's what people said). The Raid: Redemption (Serbuan Maut) (2011) can be described as a movie which focuses on a group of cops raiding a building owned by some notorious mafia boss / crime lord. The rest is action and blood. It is practically boring for me.

The Raid 2 has caused too much hype in Indonesian cinema scene. Wonder why. Tempo magazine published a 3-page full article for its review, whilst normally they only publish 1 page (max. 2 pages) even for Oscar-worthy international movies. There are also lots of positive reviews from everywhere, which I cannot enclose one by one. This movie seriously has too much hype written all over it.

Out of curiosity, finally I decided to watch the movie with my boyfriend. I was about to watch it with my best friend Kenny but she is busy working overtime. I won't complain about spending around Rp100,000 for movie tickets, but...

improvements!Collapse )

Hell-a. So recently my posts are filled with Japanese vibe. Personally, in the long term, I'd rather be known as a Japan otaku, not a Korean worshipper. True, in the past I've been induced to Korean influence, back in 2009-10 when the K-pop scene was in its peak. Though I have to tell you, I have never been into K-drama. I have watched several K-dramas, and there is just something that does not attract me that much, and I always find J-dorama is way more amusing and unreal compared to K-drama. There are some J-dorama that stuck in my head, i.e. Kimi wa Petto (2003) and Gokusen 1,2,3 (2002-2009). However, when it comes to anime...

This is exactly a week after KLK last episode and suddenly I feel so empty... No more mood boosters on Friday *sigh*

Hello gaiz. How have u been? It's Valentine. Happy Valentine's day!

OK that was a lame intro. Anyway, let's just say this super late review is written to celebrate Valentine, and because I feel like writing it. Actually I have been dying to write this ever since I have finished watching the anime back in 2011, but as you know, I was way too lazy. Now what makes me motivated to write this review? Well, recently I have just watched an anime entitled "Kill la Kill"; this is a quite new anime which is still ongoing in Japan. I will be doing a review on this anime later when I have finished watching all the series (again, if I am not too lazy). This anime reminds me of PASWG, although the storyline and characters are very different. But still.
